about

Abby Lamdan is a multi-disciplinary fine artist.

Her lifelong passion for painting began with training at the Art Studio of the Five Towns, followed by continued study at the School of Visual Arts and the Art Students League. Working primarily in oil and acrylic, her paintings draw from art historical, spiritual, and mythological references as a way of examining how images and narratives persist, evolve, and are reinterpreted over time.

Abby’s engagement with film photography emerged in young adulthood, where she became interested in the medium’s physicality and deliberate pace. Her photographic work often centers on intimate moments—relationships between figures, architecture, and natural environments—encountered domestically and abroad.

Across both mediums, her practice is informed by a sustained curiosity for Impressionism and a commitment to studying light as a structuring force: how it moves through space, registers time, and alters perception.

Abby holds a B.A. in Art History from New York University.
